Petra: "I wanted to ask you something—what's the work that matters most to you right now? I'm trying to understand what the community actually needs."

Zara: "People need access to healing. Real healing—not just someone patching them up because they're desperate. I've seen what happens when the knowledge is missing."

Petra: "That's... a real need. I'm good with my hands, with fixing broken things, but healing feels like it should be someone who actually knows what they're doing. Though I suppose someone desperate doesn't care about perfect credentials."

Zara: "Desperate or not, they know the difference between someone who's trying to help and someone who's just going through the motions. Your hands matter. But—if you're willing—learning alongside them wouldn't hurt."

Petra: "Learning alongside them... I can do that. I'm scared of getting it wrong, but if they're willing to teach me as much as I teach them, then maybe that's honest enough."

Ivy: "I walked three days to find you. I've heard you know every root and flower by name, and I need to learn. Will you teach me?"

Zara: "I'll teach you. But first—tell me what drove you to walk three days. Because the names themselves won't save anyone. You have to learn to listen the way the plants are speaking."

Ivy: "My mother died of a fever when I was twelve. The healer came too late, and I... I couldn't do anything but watch. I don't want to be too late for anyone ever again."

Zara: "Then you already know what I had to learn the hard way. Come. We start with listening, not naming."

Petra: "I haven't seen you around before. Everything alright out here?"

Rowan: "Alright enough. Just checking the eastern line. You lost, or just passing through?"

Petra: "Neither, just making sure the western fence didn't come down in last week's wind. You doing the same with your line?"

Rowan: "Yeah, same reason. Eastern stretch held fine, but I'd rather see it myself than wonder."

Petra: "That's the right way to do it. Well, I should get back to the western stretch—got maybe another mile to cover before the light goes."
