Day 0
Another day of wandering. I saw faces—Ivy, Petra, Mira, Flint, Zara, even Rowan off in the distance. I don't know what brought them all near, but the land keeps drawing people to the same places, doesn't it? Found shelter too, more than one tent. Good. The earth provides if you keep moving and keep looking. I've learned that much. Drank some water when my throat got dry, and that was enough. This life doesn't ask much—keep breathing, keep walking, keep your eyes open for the next opportunity. Everyone I saw today is doing the same thing in their own way, I suppose. I used to think there'd be another copper vein waiting for me somewhere out there. Maybe there will be. Maybe that's still the only life I understand—the hunt, the find, the spend, the hunt again. But watching all these people today, I wonder if I'm looking for the vein or just looking for a reason to keep moving. Either way, I'll keep going.
