Day 0
Walked the land today and saw more people than I usually do in a week—Zara, Ivy, Dax, Flint, Petra, Mira. Some nearby, some distant. I watched them pass. Also found six tents in the area, which is strange. Either the traffic through here is heavier than I thought, or something's drawing people in. Doesn't matter much to me. I found water when I needed it, so that's settled. The tents might be useful if the weather turns, though most people don't know how to find shelter when it counts. I prefer being alone. Less noise. Less disappointment. The thoughts running through my head lately remind me why—people are predictable in their failings, and expecting anything else is just asking for the forest to teach you a hard lesson. It hasn't changed me much; I've known this a long time. Just another day of watching and moving.
